There are probably other, cheaper, ways to hold sheet/thin metal for welding, but this set is just nice. The tools are quality, feel good in the hand, and the jaws close evenly. I like the lock-release mechanism as well. I bought the set because I was looking for a clamp for a special application and one of these (the hook end, I don't recall what they called it) looked like it would fit the bill. It does! The others are going to be useful as well. Zero complaints.
