Introduction: Controller 2 is designed to control AC Infinity AIRPLATE Series cabinet fans and MULTIFAN series component fans. The unit measures 5.2 x 3.1 x 1.1 inches, and contains a backlit digital LCD display, which can display Fahrenheit or Celsius. Its metal frame features a brushed anodized aluminum finish and can be mounted on wall panels and cabinets up to 1.25" thick. On the back are two USB fan ports, a power port and a thermal probe port. Includes a precision 72" thermal probe which is water resistant. The operating temperature can be set between 32 and 60 °C. The complete kit includes thermal controller, mounting screws, plastic stencil, instruction manual and 100-125V AC wall adapter (UK 3 pin wall plug 220-240V AC - Type G). Programming The controller has a built-in processor with active temperature monitoring as well as intelligent programming that will automatically adjust the fan speed to meet different temperatures. Additional features include an alarm system, screen lock or shut down while programs are running, six fan speeds, three backlight settings, two buffer options, and power failure memory. Compatibility: Controller 2 can power up to 10 watts of AC Infinity AIRPLATE and MULTIFAN Series fans. This is about six fans, but please note that some models contain more than one fan. For example, dual-fan systems such as Airplate S7 or MULTIFAN S5 contain two fans. The controller could only power three of these models for a total of six fans. Other 5V USB fans may be compatible but may not be fully functional with the speed control function.

I recently upgraded my house to 10 Gb/s ethernet, and I discovered that high-speed networking equipment runs very hot. One of my Thunderbolt ethernet adapters kept overheating. I started looking into other adapters that might work, but I found Amazon reviews for nearly all of them that mentioned overheating. Apparently it's a common problem with 10 Gb/s ethernet adapters.Then someone in one of the reviews mentioned AC Infinity fans as a solution. I decided to buy the AC Infinity Controller 2 along with a 140mm fan. Wow this works great! I placed the fan next to my Thunderbolt ethernet adapter, and attached the AC Infinity temperature probe to the top of the adapter with some thermal tape. Now the fan turns on whenever the adapter reaches 90 degrees. I have the fan set to the lowest setting, and it's so quiet that I can't tell when it's running. I'm very sensitive to sound, and this doesn't bother me at all. However, it lowers the temperature quickly. What a perfect solution!Anyway, if you have hot electronics on your desk that need cooling, this is a perfect solution!
